London: a place of magic and excitement

For a long time now, a group of girlfriends and I  have been planning a trip to London to visit the Warner Brother Studios in London, where Harry Potter was filmed. No, you are never too old for that! :) Last weekend it finally happened and it was an amazing experience.

After reuniting on Thursday evening, we started our trip with a nice dinner at Joe’s Southern (Kentish Town). Try out the Healthy Stack, you won’t regret it!

Friday was THE DAY and after grabbing a breakfast, we started our way towards Leavesden, where the studio is located.

One of the first rooms you see is the beautiful Great Hall which is quite smaller than you experience it in the movies.

It was really a magical experience to get to see all of the sets but seeing how much work was behind even the smallest things was truly impressive.

Saturday we went to the city center and walked around for a few hours.

We decided to attend a play in one of the MANY wonderful theatres London has to offer and saw Doctor Faustus starring Kit Harington (the actor playing Jon Snow on Game of Thrones).

Colourful street close to our flat

We stayed in the North-West of London in a very nice Airbnb flat. Click this link to get 18 EUR off your first booking: www.airbnb.com/c/mluana?s=8

We moved around using an Oyster card which is the easiest and cheapest way to travel, besides walking of course. :)) You can get one at the airport and if you don’t spend the whole amount, you can get a refund at the end of your trip. We used this website for planning our trips in and around the city: https://tfl.gov.uk/
